Manchester City advanced to the final of the FA Cup with a 1-0 win over Chelsea in Saturday's semi-final clash at Wembley Stadium. Bernardo Silva's goal in the 70th minute proved to be the difference, as City held on for a hard-fought victory.
The match started brightly, with both teams creating chances in the opening stages. Chelsea came closest to breaking the deadlock in the first half, with Mason Mount hitting the crossbar with a well-struck effort. City grew into the game as the half wore on, and they created a number of good openings of their own. However, they were unable to find a way past Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The second half continued in a similar vein, with both teams pushing for a goal. City eventually broke the deadlock in the 70th minute, when Silva converted a cross from Riyad Mahrez at the far post. Chelsea pushed for an equalizer in the closing stages, but they were unable to find a way through the City defense.
The win means that City will face Manchester United in the final of the FA Cup. The match will be played at Wembley Stadium on May 27.
