Meghan McCain: Biden Will Not Attend Father's Funeral

Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), said President Biden will not be attending her father's funeral.

In a tweet on Thursday, McCain said that Biden "will not be in attendance at my father's funeral, as per my family's wishes."

McCain did not provide any further details about her family's decision.

Biden and McCain had a close relationship. Biden was a close friend of McCain's father, and he delivered the eulogy at McCain's funeral in 2018.

It is unclear why McCain's family decided not to invite Biden to her father's funeral. Some have speculated that the decision was made because of Biden's close ties to former President Barack Obama, who was a political rival of McCain.
