Bichette, Bisons fall to Stripers in series opener, 13-2

Herd drops first game in best-of-three series

Bo Bichette went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, but the Buffalo Bisons fell to the Nashville Sounds 13-2 in the opener of their best-of-three series on Tuesday night at First Horizon Park.

The Bisons (62-55) took an early lead when Bichette doubled home Jordan Groshans in the first inning, but the Sounds (60-57) answered back with three runs in the bottom of the inning off Buffalo starter Bowden Francis.

Nashville added two more runs in the second inning and chased Francis from the game. The Sounds went on to score six runs off the Buffalo bullpen, including a three-run homer by Brice Turang in the fifth inning.
