Carlo Ancelotti has re-joined Real Madrid as the club's new manager, returning to the Spanish capital six years after his first spell at the helm. Real Madrid confirmed the Italian's appointment on Wednesday, replacing Zinedine Zidane, who stepped down at the end of the season.

Ancelotti, 61, previously managed Real Madrid from 2013 to 2015, winning the Champions League, Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup during his time in charge.

The Italian coach has a wealth of experience, having also managed AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich, among other clubs. He is widely respected for his tactical acumen and ability to get the best out of his players.
